Reflections on gratefulness during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Blessings in the New Year!  2021 is a special year for Marian Woods Convent, as we mark our 20th anniversary.  As part of our year-long celebration, we will kick off the blog series, Twelve Months of Gratefulness.

Marian Woods’ resident, Sr. Dorothy Hall, O.P. was selected by a special committee of the Cultural Diversity Apostolate of the Archdiocese of NY as one of the first recipients of the “Bakhita Woman of Faith and Service Award.” 

After three years together, in May 2018 we bid farewell to our first group of Pen Pals at a dinner with a festive graduation cake. On October 4, 2019, we greeted our new group of 20 sixth-grade Pen Pals, again, girls from CCMS – Cornelia Connelly Middle School, East Fourth Street, New York City.
